... "I am a part of all that I have met.."
My name is Siobhan Power. I am originally South African, from Irish descent, living in London, and have been so privileged to be able to teach, learn and travel around the world. If I am not teaching or practicing yoga, you will find me up a mountain or in forest or dancing the night away (or all of them at the same time.)
I offer international retreats and workshops and teach weekly classes in London. My classes focus on connecting breath with conscious movement whilst offering an alignment based and thoughtful practice. My mindful yet playful approach to the practice integrates classical teachings into creative flow allowing for joyously challenging yet relaxing yoga. students feel confident to explore their bodies and minds through movement and breath. Expect a meditative flow through asana and pranayama allowing time to turn in and slow down, leaving class nourished and restored.
I have been practicing yoga for over ten years and this lead me to venture into India where I was classically trained with Ganga Devi, through the Himalayan Yoga Institute. It was there that I qualified with my 200hr YTT. I then taught classes and workshops internationally before settling in London. Since then I have done various intensives in Dharma Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Pranayama (breathwork), Vinyasa and Yin yoga and draw inspiration from incredibly awe-inspiring teachers such as Jambo Truong, Ben Wolf, Mark Kan, Paula Andreewitch, Norman Blaire and Emma Peel. I give thanks to all they have taught me over the years and look forward to deepening my practice with them. I also give thanks to all my students who are my greatest teachers.
Working in yoga therapy for children and families keeps me young and playful and I draw inspiration from the teacher trainings, retreats and workshops I offer in Children's Yoga Tree, the business I run alongside my partner, Emma Charvet.
